Once you do you will see it's not that big of a deal.īTW, the DLC's, Heavy metal has a lot of really powerful mechs and weapons, Some will call the OP, but a lot of players it seams need that extra power so this one might help you enjoy the game more till you learn the ins and outs. The complaint you have is very common from people that haven't figured out the game yet. So many tactics to counter the extra enemies. Learn to use cover, bring up evasion, knock off certain weapons to reduce how lethal a mechs is, aka take out an arm or torso, Legging short ranged mechs then out ranging them ect. Even 4 lights can roll 8 mediums which would be a starter lance going up against a 2 skull or so. If your getting steamed rolling in vanilla your just not playing well and need to learn the mechanics better, Being able to beat 10-12-16 mechs in a mission isn't that hard.

#PROBLEMS DOWNLOADING BATTLETECH HEAVY METAL MODS#
all the good mods have even more enemies, and it's harder over all with more powerful weapons and builds, along with more powerful skills the AI uses. Hey kinda like MW5, but at least it's action based and I personally control the mech so I don't find it near as hard as it being turnbased. They had way more mechs than you could field. Not hard in a good way either, as it was just enemy spam. I played battletech a while(15 hours according to steam), and I kept getting steamrolled as the game was way to hard. Originally posted by MaGicBush:I'm tempted to buy the dlc for battletech and give it another chance, but I doubt mods would fix my issue with that game.
